Pros

-Really good supportive colleagues in the day surgery center where I worked at -HR was also really nice and understanding -Drs have high expectations for us and are nice if you're good at your work which is reasonable -Overall good culture with benefits (mentioned in the other entries) that let staffs feel taken care of

Cons

-Overtime hours are normal, might not be suitable for family oriented individuals. But overtime is paid, i think it's fair. -Quite frequent travelling between clinics and locations. Transport claims only applies after/before certain hours, so costs do add up here.

Pros

I have been working for 6yrs in the Fem Surgery clinic. Throughout the years, I work closely with Dr Felicia Tan to establish the Radiology department in the one and only MacPherson (2018-2022) and Central (2023 till present) branch in FeM Surgery clinic. Despite the high expectations and many issues faced during the early days of establishing the Radiology Department, I received strong support and commitment from Dr Felicia Tan and the Management. In FeM Surgery @ Cental clinic, we have good working environment with good supporting colleagues. Our doctors are understanding and pleasant to work with. Caring and family-like relationships have been developed among the doctors and staffs here. FeM Surgery provides their clinical staffs 5.5 days work week with alternate Saturdays off (extra benefit for full-time staffs). The company encourages the staffs to participate in missionary trips and provides overseas retreat and team bonding trip (extra benefits too)

Cons

1. Some doctors have high expectations of the staffs and tend to over stretched the nursing staffs working hours due to the irregular/extended surgeries after working hours. 2. Lack of medical benefits for staffs - only cover GP consultations & hospitalisation and limited dental coverage

Pros

Good AL , good pay, alt Saturday

Cons

I joined the company with optimism and appreciation for the opportunity, but unfortunately, my experience was not aligned with the expectations set during the hiring process. Firstly, I was informed by HR that I would be based at a certain branch, but after joining, I was instructed to travel between two clinic locations daily—something that was not communicated prior to my appointment. Clear communication around work location and job expectations should have been provided upfront. I also experienced instances where feedback was delivered in a tone that felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive. As a new staff member who was still learning the ropes, I would have appreciated a more supportive and constructive approach. Guidance and correction are part of any learning process, but they should be offered with patience and respect. Additionally, I felt uncomfortable and excluded when conversations about work or myself were conducted in a language I did not understand. Inclusive communication is essential to building a respectful and cohesive work environment. While I understand the demands placed on management, mutual respect and professionalism should never be compromised. I hope this feedback will contribute to improving the experience for future employees.
