Pros
The agency has been busy and work has been steady. Culture and collaboration were typically good.
Cons
Clearly budget pressures are bringing out the worst in people. Culture was once great but I’ve seen managers turning on each other, turning on their employees. Permanent positions are scarce and people are spread thin trying to manage workloads without overtime being approved.

Money For Nothing is the team anthem. Great work/life balance - because they're not doing any work.
Cons
All the glowing reviews you see are from people who do very little for and provide little to no real value to the taxpayers of Canada, FedDev may be the most useless federal department in Canada. I predict their budget is going to be slashed to the point where this department will fold. Bureaucrats with big egos (but little talent) trying to look busy but accomplishing nothing.
