Pros

There's a 20 word minimum so I'm just writing these words to fill it. Not many pros

Cons

Federated media may seem like a great place to work but it's not. It's ran by management who only pick and choose who they decide to be apart of their "club" any criticism they ignore it and blame the people instead of looking at themselves. They basically want people who will do things the way they want it done and there's no room for creativity unless it's what the management wants done. The whole company is scared of change for improvement. Sales is like a swinging door changes monthly and admin doesn't stay. They promise growth for a shorter time span than reality. Example told I was going to double my income in a year, not possible.

Pros

The people you work with are great. There is so much bad here the only joy came from complaining about how bad this company is.

Cons

It would be very similar to working for the mafia. If you are "made" it doesn't matter what you do you will always get promoted, cars paid for, kids tuition paid. I'm not joking about this. If you are not "made" they will use you and then run you out. The GM was promoted from sales mgr after being caught on several occasions for sleeping with his subordinates. During the interview process they discussed it is very important to establish business relationships with clients and potential clients. This is a highly consultive sales business. In other words it takes time to close an account. Mgt treats this business as one call and close situations. If you have not closed a business within 3 months they give it to another rep to work. At this point the business is so confused on who they are working with they never sign. Turn over, especially in the sales department, is ridiculously high. I worked there for 1 1/2 years. When I started there were 30 sales reps working for 4 separate stations. By the time I left I was the 5th longest sales rep on the job. Another sales rep kept a list of all the people who have come and gone during his 3 years. The list was well over 125. There are no more than 40 total people working for this company. There is no auto allowance for Outside Sales Reps. The only reason to take a job here is if you have no other options. Besides you will be looking for a new job within months.

Pros

They are very family oriented and work schedule allows flexibilty

Cons

You work a lot of evenings and weekends during the warmer seasons because of events. Unless you come in with a big account list it can take a year or longer to build enough client base to cover salary and start earning commission.
