Pros

Flexible work hours No "corporate' burdens/obligations Company paid benefits

Cons

Lack of departmental Managers results in lack of advancement for promotion but also results frequent errors, temper flares, and lack of accountability Multiple offices/plants for operations and engineering which becomes a problem when trying to facilitate cross departmental operations General attitudes are that of a protectionist, finger-pointing, "not my job" mentality with very little collaboration. Any attempts for a youth movement are quickly dissolved due to lack of training tools & non-existent cross departmental SOPs, as well as low employee motivation to offer training to inexperienced hires. Pay is low compared to similar sized companies and offers no regular performance evaluation nor any bonus structure or 'perks'. There are no means to advance your career. Currently whatever you are hired as is all you will be able achieve. Ownership's general understanding of the industry as it has and continues to evolve is limited.
