Pros

Good benefits and decent pension scheme

Cons

Steer clear if you value your sanity and job security. Restructures happens approximately every 2/3 years and they do it simply to get rid of those who don’t fit their bill or challenge them. Senior management is similar to an old boys club - managers giving jobs to their friends/ex-colleagues.

Pros

Really good work life balance Salary ok some good benefits ok pension challenging work and opportunities to move around the business to learn mentoring programme

Cons

some of the 'leadership' team are a law unto themselves, and have created a seemingly jolly alliance comedy double act despite bringing in a perpetual consultation that has most of the employees at risk at all times. And they seem completely unchallenged by the other members of the leadership team (inc the CEO). The constant restructuring is unbelievable, for a firm of only 200 people. Do not work here if you value stability in your working life. The scheme has latched on to the public sector 1% year on year pay rises, despite the continual message that FSCS is completely independent of government. Don't believe everything about the people team, some of them are lovely. But the lead and his angry rottweiller side kick are absolutely toxic. CEO has been very good but is approaching retirement and is considered a lame duck by many. The strength of his leadership over his exec team is extremely questionable. The leadership team is a charisma vacuum.
