Pros

Where I was working at, there really isn’t anything good to say. Some of the employees were good to work with.

Cons

Where to begin. I would say I can deal with the lying, bullying, throwing objects, playing favorites, lying and stealing from customers, grown adults throwing a 2 year old tantrum. Where I draw the line is racism. After being called the “N” out of hate and anger by someone who isn’t even that ethnicity. happened while up front where the customers are along with the store manager. When I had a conversation with the store manager and service manager about it, I was told that this individual had been talked to and it wouldn’t happen again. The individual even admitted to saying it to me twice. This same individual who threatened to bring a firearm and shoot another employee, who steals from the company, is allowed to continue employment and still use racist language towards people. After that I knew I had to remove myself from Firestone when the use of the word got worse and more frequent. This is not the Firestone I started with. The Firestone I remember would have terminated everyone involved on the spot. There used to be a zero tolerance policy in place. I guess that doesn’t exist anymore. I turned in my typed two week notice, worked my two week notice and left quickly and quietly. No one talked to me about why I was leaving or even tried to get me to stay. My advice to anyone reading this, if you plan to work for the company, whatever store it might be, go in and talk to everyone at that store. Get a feel for how it is before committing to work at a place you might regret going to later on.

Pros

Benefits. Paid training. PTO. Paid ASEs. Can start as a maintenance tech and train your way up.

Cons

Long hours. 4 big sales a year they expect you to work open to close. Flat rate pay can be great but can also suck in the dead season.
