Pros

- Good work/life balance - friendly co-workers - good starting place to get into commercial banking industry

Cons

- No job advancement for the local hire; - low and unfair pay; - staffs/managers from Taiwan know nothing about the Canadian banking industry but expect you to know everything they should've known themselves; - people (aka local hires) who do most of the work are the one getting the least amount of compensation; - loan procedure is strictly complied with the head office in Taiwan, - a loan officer's work involves: 50% English-Chinese translation, 25% administration work, 15% creating tables and writing summaries, and 10% loan.
