Pros

Office Location is really great

Cons

The entire management team is terrible. There is no vision and the CEO is clueless and runs around with no idea what he is doing. He will tell customers whatever they need to hear to win a deal and then is off onto trying to get another customer with no plans on delivering what we promise.

In representing our management team, we are truly sorry you feel this way and your experience was so terrible. Having a nice office is not even close to being as important as making a member of our team feel like they have the resources to succeed personally and professionally. We are always self reflective on how we can improve and we will certainly consider your feedback. We wish you the best on your future endeavors.

Pros

Read the cons before the pros - unlimited PTO you can take unless you are performing - free health insurance and distancing days

Cons

Horrible culture - they say there is room for growth and if you perform well you will have a shot at a promotion. The truth is.. I have seen them go external for many AE and AM positions and after 6 months to a year those folks are being let go for not hitting quota instead of giving someone internally an opportunity or helping develop them. There are multiple top performers from the SDR team that have applied for positions to become AEs and AMs who were not given a shot. Oh must I mention that the only recent promotion from the SDR team that has occurred internally was someone that was related to a RVP. There is zero development as there is a big socialchorus clique that exist (they can never do wrong). Nepotism and favoritism at its best. Now looking closer at commercial AEs only 3 people have sold anything this year. Product and packages are overpriced. The AM team has let go a number of AMs leaving only the pre-merger team (Socialchorus) + a few new hires that receiver little training. Forgot to mention the 3 different layoffs they did from October - January that they brushed under the table. I wouldnt be surprised if there has been even more.

Thank you for your feedback. While I recognize you may not want to speak to your manager about growth opportunities (as noted above), we recommend you talking to your HR partner to share your concerns and also work on a development plan and/or other internal transitional opportunities. Also, please provide this feedback in the engagement survey so that leadership can follow up with the sales managers and continue manager development.

Pros

Tons of remote work opportunities Little micromanagement Interesting industry

Cons

HR will withhold feedback, thus robbing you of improvement opportunities, until it's too late People smile to your face as they stab you in the back, then get promoted Zero collaboration, everyone does what they think the product should be No desire to actually push clients Leadership team loves to play favorites CEO loves to tell the home office that they're B players and that he only pays for snacks because he has to Founder loves explicit lyrics rap music and frequently exposes company to it without consequences Leadership is tone deaf when it comes to morale or EQ

Thank you so much for your feedback. We agree that consistent feedback is critical to supporting our employees in their career at SocialChorus and beyond. We have implemented a formal review and feedback process so every employee knows their strengths and where they can improve. In addition to just providing feedback, we are very interested in the professional development of every employee. Every employee has an allotted amount of money every year to spend how she/he wants to pursue specific professional development. This, of course, is on top of the training and coaching we offer from industry experts like Decker and Stoa Partners. We are deeply committed to partnership and collaboration – not only with our customers (our longest standing customer has been with us for 8 years!) – but within our teams. We invest in team collaboration starting with our leadership team, then cross-functionally, then within each team, and company-wide. One of our core values is ‘we succeed together’ and I am proud of the many ways I see these values lived every day. If you would be willing to share additional feedback with me, I would be happy to have a conversation. Thank you for helping us to be better.
