Lol the pay is laughable, and when I went to ask Joe for a raise, I found out they were laying me off (with no explanation) a week later. If I hadn’t asked about that raise, I wouldn’t have known I was going to be laid off until the day they actually did it. I was only part-time but treated like full-time in every way except pay-wise. I was literally doing the exact same work as full-time staff getting paid way less and the same was still expected of me. The workplace was not diverse at all, and they even changed something I wrote about “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” to “Columbus Day.” White men who take advantage of skilled workers celebrating a white man killing natives? Unsurprising but still disgusting. This company chewed me up and spit me out with no warning. I also felt like it was very hard to break into the office group socially because they were all so close-knit (much more so than other places I’ve worked).
