Pros

It's a paycheck, but a small one for what your expected to accomplish to receive it.

Cons

I've been here far too long and it's like working in a vacuum. Your so over worked and under paid that your too exhaused to even find another job. Expect to be stabbed in the back. Expect to be written up for nothing. Expect NOT to get a raise because let's be honest, 15c is not a raise. Expect crazy overtime. Expect to have your personal items confiscated if management feels it's a distraction to your "productivity", expect to develop stress, anxiety, panic attacks, migraine, depression, you name it. Don't get comfortable in a position, you won't stay in that department for long. Don't expect to ever do anything the same way twice, they're always changing the rules. Expect to feel used. Expect to question your morals when working for them, they'll test them. Expect to feel like a burden to managers and HR. You are not an asset or an employee. You are an inmate. Find a way not to work here, or have an exit strategy going in. You will get sucked to the bottom of the pit and be too exhausted to climb yourself out otherwise. Honestly, it's the worst place I have ever worked. Don't do it to yourself.

Pros

They are finally making a better effort to promote from within. However, their idea of promotion is to move you to a different department and not pay you anything more.

Cons

If you think there have been all these "amazing" changes to the company this past year, you must be working for some where other than this place. The only ones who ought to examine and hold themselves accountable should be management. There have been no raises this past year so the company could put the funds into new software - which by the way has been scrapped because it didn't work. Money was also spent to for an arrogant consultant who has the owners completely snowed, not to mention the substandard redecorating job to improve "corporate culture". Paint and vinyl lettering won't improve this place. By the way, the vinyl decorations are starting to peel and separate. You want to improve morale? Give the employees the raises they have earned. The insurance is awful for what the employees are paying now and the increase basically wiped out any pay increases one might have received within the past few years. The insurance is with an out of area provider, why not support the community and find an in area company? Stop wasting valuable production time with the briefings and meetings. They don't ever say anything but "we want to keep you in the loop", In the loop for what? This is never defined. We have stuff to do. Let us do our jobs.

Five Brothers Response

Thank you for taking the time to review Five Brothers on glass door. 2016 was a year of change and tough decisions for Five Brothers and it's employees. The right-sizing of the company and putting raises on hold were very tough decisions that were made to secure the future success of the company. Valuable employees will always have a place at Five Brothers, although we weren't able to compensate them for their hard work this year that will not always be the case. With the hard decisions, came positive improvements especially with our Supervisors. They are participating in weekly management sessions where they are receiving additional skills to ensure they are successful leaders for Five Brothers and their teams. They are holding team meetings and one-on-one sessions frequently to ensure the success of their team members. There are many words I would use to describe our business consultant but arrogant is not one of them. He is passionate, hard-working, and dedicated to making the Supervisors at Five Brothers better leaders. We realized that our Supervisors needed to be better equipped to be successful out on the floor for their employees and have invested in our business consultant and our Supervisors to make sure they receive the tools needed to succeed. We have improved the building with our metro markets and enhancing most of the working areas with paint, chalkboard walls, and the decals that you mentioned are falling apart. Unfortunately, when all you can see is negative and not embrace any of the changes with a positive attitude I don't see much improving for you here. Hopefully, you will be able to move on somewhere else where you can get everything you are looking for. Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your valuable and honest feedback.
