Pros

It seems that Flam, an AI-powered mixed reality startup, has raised significant funding and gained attention for its innovative work in the mixed reality ad space, partnering with brands like Netflix and Britannia. However, there are some criticisms regarding its work culture, particularly concerning long hours and rigid policies.

Cons

The company's "hire and fire" culture has also been mentioned, There are emerging reports and feedback indicating concerns about Flam's work culture. Some employees and industry insiders have highlighted issues such as: Long working hours: Many have complained about being required to work 16-17 hours a day, sometimes even on Sundays and holidays. Lack of job security: The company allegedly operates with a "hire and fire" approach, where employees feel they could be dismissed at any time, contributing to an environment of uncertainty. Poor work-life balance: The high demand for hours combined with a lack of flexibility or adequate rest days seems to negatively affect employees' work-life balance.

Pros

The Only Pro is that they offer great pay, which is more like a bait to lure in talent who is doing great in their existing jobs. Trust me, one fine evening you'll get a call from HR saying "Today was your last working day" and this will be within 4-5 months from your joining.

Cons

Hire and Fire Culture Extreme expectations of founders No proper onboarding or educating new employees on the product, and expecting them to leverage their own industry connections to hit numbers. Favourism by not providing any new leads to the business development team and only sharing it with some so-called "Head of Sales"(Only God knows who they are heading, as there's no structure or hierarchy. And when you finally use one of your connections, these "Head of Sales" would come in and poach your lead by saying that they have connected with them previously. Work-life balance is non-existent.

Pros

Leaving the company was the best decision I made.

Cons

High attrition & unstable leadership: The company has a history of hiring and firing in waves. When I joined, I noticed a framed team photo, not a single person from that photo was still working there. Lack of direction: The product has changed multiple times. The core offering (QR-code-based solution) lacked clarity and real value. Founders & management: Ego-driven, poor feedback culture, zero real-world experience. All top-down decisions with no room for honest input. Toxic culture: Gossip, passive-aggressiveness, micromanagement, and bullying were rampant. I faced screaming, frequent firing threats, and complete disrespect despite working hard and delivering value. No recognition or support: Your work won’t matter unless you're part of the inner circle or know how to play politics. No product strategy or team: Despite being a tech company, there was no product team, just disorganized execution. HR issues: HR was unsupportive and often escalated tensions. I experienced bullying, inappropriate remarks, and unsafe conditions. Emotionally damaging: I left feeling drained, isolated, and broken. Character assassination, rumor-spreading, and belittling were normalized. Zero learning culture: There’s no room for growth or mentorship. People stay not for the work but because they’re either disconnected or playing along with toxic politics.
