Pros

- Interesting product and stable finances - CEO is a hard working person - Good accident/sickness insurance - Generous wellness allowance - Yearly gathering, usually connected with a fun event - Diverse international team

Cons

- As mentioned above the CEO is a hard working person, which is good, but is way too involved and controlling at low level decisions.. micromanagement. - CTO may have good long term ideas but lacks technical knowledge.. focus is on appearances and slogans rather than decisions and taking responsibility. Would probably do a much better PR person than a CTO. - There’s no honest or transparent communication which results in rumors, gossip and lack of trust. - HR policies and initiatives can be confusing and poorly executed. - People are disposable. It’s obvious that there’s no place for sentiment. On one hand they want us to be in the office as much as possible to ”build culture”, and then they fire 12 long term contractors (our friends!) on the spot without giving them a decent exit.

Pros

The people are genuinely great, very supportive, helpful, and quick to onboard new hires. Many colleagues have strong work ethics, high personal standards, and are truly passionate about what they do. There’s a strong “geek” culture in the best sense of the word, which creates a motivating and inspiring work environment. The office itself is a big plus: centrally located, modern, and visually impressive.

Cons

Unfortunately, the HR experience was a significant downside. HR often appeared to stir conflict rather than resolve it, and interactions sometimes felt unnecessarily tense. Senior management, particularly HR, seemed overly suspicious of employees and their behavior, which created an atmosphere of mistrust. As a result, it was common to feel like you had to “walk on eggshells”.

Awesome colleagues but unhealthy management style

Pros

The office is in a great central location. The workplace is very international, with people from many different backgrounds and nationalities. Colleagues who are not part of upper management are genuinely kind and friendly to work with. The product is well-known, popular, and genuinely cool.

Cons

A clear lack of trust from upper management toward employees. Many achievements and contributions go unrecognized, leaving employees feeling undervalued. The very little recognition feels forced and fake. Speaking up to share concerns can be seen as threatening instead of constructive, which makes people scared to open up. It feels like employees are treated more as replaceable resources than as human beings. This has become even more noticeable since the recent shift in focus toward shareholder priorities. Employees can be let go without consideration for their experience or expertise, as seen recently when 12 veteran consultants were laid off on the same day, many of whom were not just colleagues but also friends. Chaotic and stressful reorganization pushed by shareholders and upper management that feels more like we're reorganizing for the sake of saying we're reorganizing, rather than responding to a real need.
