      Great mission and organisational values

      Cons

      Toxic department with poor management at Director level. People pushed into roles they don’t want, forced to double job, gossip is normal. Director focused on targets not people. HR does not retain confidential info. Blatant favouritism. Senior Managers allowed to behave badly. Little to no support.

      Pros

      Good Supervision and Professional Practice with clients being well taken care of in a professional manner. I had to respect the staff and management for their work ethic and professionalism.

      Cons

      I found that the sense of professional distance between staff and clients (while necessary) extended amongst staff. I found everyone polite but no sense of cameraderie or genuine warmth. This meant a lack of communication too. Also a little overly PC. I got brought up to the office for being 'overly chatty' with a co-worker at lunch-time (which she felt intruded on her personal space) and then brought up again for 'not being communicative enough' due to me being afraid to open my mouth. Now I have my degree, I won't be applying to work them.

      Enjoyed working with service users and some staff members

      Overall slightly toxic work environment (gossipy, clicky) No consideration for employees who aren’t full time (from management etc)
