Pros

People get saved, have a great summer time. Some very awesome folks work there. Wonderful location. Food is good too.

Cons

For full time staff- the highest turn over I've seen, key leadership positions left empty after burn out or being fired, so many positions are set up to fail from short staffing. Low pay, unrealistic expectations, tons of blame shifting and fear. Leadership overly un-trusting of staff and churches. This results in low moral. Seen nice young people turned into unloving people in this highly legalistic environment. Preach the gospel, but don't get it as many fear for their job security every week, and witness many disconnected decisions from top leadership.

Pros

I lived in town so commute was good

Cons

Worked here for 10 years. Told me they were eliminating my position but when I came to get my final check someone else was doing my job. Let me go 2 days after my birthday and 1 week before Christmas. Real Christlike...

Pros

Nice campus, cool values and mission, many people come and have an encounter with the Lord.

Cons

HIGH turnover- for years and years. Staffing issue with SR Leadership- nice intent, but non-relational and unaware, so the actual culture is far away from the stated values (secular companies act much more Biblical to their employees). Many legalistic rules, low employee value. They will drop you like a rock tomorrow for a nonsensical issue. Major on minors, and minor on the major issues. You'll spend 50% of your time managing board presentations/reports and dealing with political nonsense.
