Sometimes the culture can get to people who aren't used to it. The company is predominantly Asian and you'll hear more Mandarin/Taiwanese being spoken than English, so if you are not ok with this, don't work here. There is absolutely no room for advancement. I was told for two years that I would be promoted, and unfortunately never did. My supervisor had me micro managing, and I was handling a lot of the managerial responsibilities with no title. The only way that you will be promoted is either when someone retires, or if you have been there for at least 10 years. It can get pretty monotonous and once you've been in your position for long enough you won't really be challenged. It's a stable job, but it can get boring, even with the high pace.
