Pros

very stable company to work for. most of my superiors respect my opinions. 4 weeks of vacation good benefits Profitable company means 401K matching!

Cons

salary/wages could stand to be a bit higher. Pension plan needs to be more aggresive. sometimes difficult to weed out the "dead weight" evaluation method could use an upgrade or revision

Pros

Compared to other companies I have worked for, this company really takes care of their people. If you like stability this is a great place to work. You get bonuses and annual salary increases. The salaries are pretty average, but they pay the bills. I haven't been there for over a year, so I'm not sure if this is still the case, but your health insurance was covered by the company, you had a really great 401K, and when I was there after a certain amount of time with the company you were eligible for a pension.

Cons

Sometimes the culture can get to people who aren't used to it. The company is predominantly Asian and you'll hear more Mandarin/Taiwanese being spoken than English, so if you are not ok with this, don't work here. There is absolutely no room for advancement. I was told for two years that I would be promoted, and unfortunately never did. My supervisor had me micro managing, and I was handling a lot of the managerial responsibilities with no title. The only way that you will be promoted is either when someone retires, or if you have been there for at least 10 years. It can get pretty monotonous and once you've been in your position for long enough you won't really be challenged. It's a stable job, but it can get boring, even with the high pace.
