Peter Pan thinks SureID is an abomination.

Pros

They don't lie, cheat and steal all the time. C-level employees are milking the company for every dime they can shovel into their pockets from the government contracts. Eid Passport is the bread and butter of the company, and SureID is tossing every dollar at a product nobody in the company believes in. Peter Pan thinks SureID is an abomination.

Cons

The Reviews on here that are positive are from employees that work in HR. THE REVIEWS THAT ARE POSITIVE ARE HR REVIEWS. SureID is not a 2-star Chinese restaurant that has roaches in their kitchen, but a career choice for hundreds of employees. Family's depend on your company, and all you are doing are writing fake reviews to cater to potential recruits. When you complete your LinkedIn profile, I hope you put "sub-par creative writer."

I believe there is one review from a Human Resources employee on Glassdoor. SureID and its HR department believes in ethics and honesty and these comments are inaccurate.

Pros

* hands off management lets you get away with anything, if that's what you're into. * decent benefits package * upper management is very open about telling employees what's going on. note that I rated upper management fairly high because of this. Middle and lower management wasn't listed, but would get 1 star, maybe 2. Unfortunately, this is whom you will have to deal with most of the time. * full sized cubes in engineering (no open floor plan!) * some very good, hard working software engineers. (see counterpoint in cons)

Cons

* hands off management lets less productive employees walk over them. * started charging money for the benefits -- all the employees took a $600 pay cut on Jan 1 * some real slackers and suck-ups that take advantage of liberal policies, they may or may not show up for work, and may or may not ever do anything productive. Nobody does anything about it, which kills morale. * Managers don't fulfill their promises. They tell you all kinds of things to get you in the door, then change it once you're here. Management shows no respect for employees, treating them as assets and numbers rather than human beings. * Fake glassdoor reviews to make themselves look better. The company was formerly known as EID Passport, but changed their name late in 2015. They then created THIS page with a fresh set of reviews, and obviously peppered in a few 5-star reviews to boost them above the 2 stars they really are. I say obviously, because there are 3 of them with very brief, undetailed descriptions, probably put there by managers who are legitimately happy with their cushy positions, but don't accurately portray the working environment. * only 3 weeks of PTO, non matching 401k, worthless stock options * HUGE FAVORITISM. good luck advancing unless you are on of the chosen few. * Seem to think 'agile' software development means 'have no idea what kind of product you are going to deliver, or what it will look like' which causes dozens of refactors and new iterations. * Entire company is based on one product, and government contracts. So far, they have done well with this, but one wrong move, and the company ceases to exist.

Scare good engineers away

Pros

Friendly environment. Great mission. Free soda.

Cons

People are reasonably talented, but quality is a joke. Favoritism is a huge issue. A few engineers are more concerned about getting promoted than the quality of their work, and they're getting their way. It's all about socializing, not how to get the job done well. It's totally acceptable to do sloppy work, cover up the mistakes and then share with the company. These people are then rewarded with most resources / opportunities and dominate many decisions, making things difficult for those who truly want to develop good products. It's unprofessional and I doubt a company that allows this kind of practice can sustain.
