Pros

• Broad exposure to responsibilities in a startup environment • Some capable individual contributors

Cons

• Overall lack of psychological safety, trust, and ethical people management • Use of unnecessary and intimidating language during disagreements, creating fear rather than resolution • Leadership repeatedly reframed situations in ways that shifted blame and altered previously shared understanding of events • Contradictory messaging where talent was verbally acknowledged but simultaneously diminished through references to country or geographic background • Expectation of near 24/7 availability with little respect for personal boundaries. • Expectations frequently disconnected from technical reality. Unrealistic expectations around delivery, including assumptions that complex engineering work could be completed almost instantly using AI • Lack of clear leadership direction and long-term vision with too frequent changes in priorities without clear communications
