Where do I start….
- little to no support from upper management. You are left to fend for yourself. When you do something wrong though that’s when you hear from them. Upper management is catty & cliquey. If they’re trying to terminate you they will call the site staff to try and “get dirt on you”. They will never be direct with any issues.
-lack of training : expect an email with screenshots on newly implement procedures. Constantly updating SOPs, it will make your head spin & it’s almost impossible to remember them all.
-Employee turnover : from corporate to site level. It has slightly improved over the years however, there are always new faces.
Company culture : they try to say it’s a “great place to work” because they have 1 day of team building. In reality you will never feel supported by your upper management which makes all these “team building days” feel in vain.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend working here to my worst enemy. This company put an unhealthy amount of pressure on managers from day to day business all the way to being completely responsible for handling entire community renovations. You will be solely responsible for scheduling contractors, vendors, resident complaints & retention with no additional compensation.
Don’t walk, run from working here.
