They don’t seem to have an effective approach for managing and treating their offshore team.
Pros
There are no Pros here to be honest!
Cons
At first, when I started working here, everything was going smoothly. The Marketing Manager was accommodating and genuinely helped us with our work-related concerns. However, over the years, things have changed drastically. Since they started recruiting virtual assistants (VAs) offshore, something has felt off with the management. Currently, we are overstaffed, and many of us are struggling to find enough work to do. Even collecting leads has become insufficient. Despite this, management continues to pressure us to meet unrealistic daily lead targets. We've exhausted all resources to pull in leads, yet we are being pushed beyond reasonable limits. The result is overwhelming exhaustion, and some of us have even fallen ill due to the relentless demands of sitting in front of a computer for more than 24 hours at a time. While our government here requires only 8 hours work per day! The management has become toxic. They are exploiting Filipino workers, treating us like slaves. We are not given any days off and discrepancies in our pay have become a regular issue. They force us to continue working despite knowing that it's nearly impossible to meet targets with the current lead volume. They refuse to listen to our struggles and show no empathy for our pain and frustration. I have worked here for many years, but I can no longer endure this treatment. Their actions are excessive and inhumane. I hope they are held accountable for their behavior towards offshore employees. They should face consequences, and perhaps the company should be taken down for its exploitative practices. What’s more unacceptable is that they continue hiring new Filipino workers while terminating others without any prior notice. We are immediately replaced, with no explanation or courtesy. The company offers no benefits—no paid time off (PTO), no health maintenance organization (HMO) coverage, and no bonuses. Their management is ruthless and lacks any sense of customer service or decency when it comes to treating offshore employees fairly.
