Benefits are really great if you constantly have prescriptions. Good work life balance depending on the scheduling Offer a lot of opportunities outside your desk or workspace with events, holiday themed things, etc

Cons

Salary is nowhere near what it should be for the amount of work you do, especially in administration or sitting behind a desk. Not including deputies. Management and some co-workers are terrible. You'll feel like you're working with a bunch of 13th graders. Lots of cliques that ostracize you if you don't "get with the program" or act in a way that is satisfying to them. If you complain or go to HR, they make you out to be the villain for "not being the bigger person".

The money is good, benefits and all. great overtime when you want it.

Cons

If you work in the jail just know, you will get sick, inmates are out of there cells 24/7 because there doors are broke. you may be subjected to getting feces or period blood thrown on you provoked or unprovoked. Sometime the staff do no take the job serious enough. Staff fratinize with the inmates.
