overall great place to work for either a career or part time job
Pros
- overall genuine and understanding management team (Steve and Robb were especially great to work with) - flexible scheduling (they try to schedule shifts that they need but will work with availability) - advancement and educational opportunities within the company (they really try to teach you about dog behavior and management) - overall friendly staff - communication with management and office staff is pretty efficient - spending time with dogs (of course) - company benefits for part time positions (min 30hours, I believe)
Cons
- some dogs/playgroups can be difficult to work with on some days - it's hard to find people who can truly understand and explain dog behaviors eloquently enough to learn from them (behaviors are quick and subtle & most people have a hard time concisely describing behaviors and how to manage them), so it can be a slow learning process - can be overwhelming if not usually around dogs very often - starting pay is relatively low (you can get raises but it may take some time)
