Pros

Pros? This company has none

Cons

This company has gone down the drain in the past 5 months. The owners and CFO only care about the bottom line. I understand times are hard but the employees are not meant to be your slaves. It was a small company before and now it's even smaller since they laid off almost half of their workforce. And these layoffs were completely misguided - they basically got rid of the future of the company and just kept some older folks that will be retiring in a few years. Most, if not all, of the senior sales team doesn't even know how to use our databases and CRM systems. Employees across the board were never really commended for all the hard work and wins but now that times are hard there is certainly A LOT of stress and responsibility being put on us, especially during the height of the pandemic when we were all struggling. They were completely insensitive. We would have "wellness" meetings to wind down from a hectic week and the owners would come on the call and only want to talk business. It really shows leaderships true colors - all they care about is $$$. We all see through the fakeness. Most of us would like to leave but we feel hostage to the uncertainty of the economy and job market.

Furnished Quarters Response
5y
Furnished Quarters has stood strong for more than 20 years. The past five months have been challenging for all businesses and to those affected financially by the pandemic. We were sorry to read the feedback and sentiment expressed in this review. Leadership has worked unbelievably hard to keep the company operating and to secure as many jobs as possible during these unprecedented times. Ownership cares deeply about the people that work for the company, and does the best they can to support everyone in whatever ways they can. Presently, layoffs are not unique to just Furnished Quarters, and the reductions in staff were painful and sad. Still, the reality is that they were necessary for the company to continue to operate and to secure the jobs of the remaining staff. While we disagree with the review as an organization, we respect your position and will stay committed to making Furnished Quarters a great place to work.

Pros

Free coffee, that's really it.

Cons

CFO treats employees like slaves. Completely unapproachable. Will either fire you on the spot or points are the door and tells you to leave if you don't like something.

Pros

Some staff / co workers are nice

Cons

Cliquish environment where management has its favorites, and there are clear ‘teachers pets’. The ‘pets’ feed into this with their extensive brown nosing and back stabbing of their colleagues. And if you’re not a pet, just quit. You’ll never survive. I’d like to say the owners aren’t aware, but I can’t. They are an active part of this. Horrible training. It seems that everyone is left to their own devices to figure out the systems for themselves, figure out the file management, and figure out where the bathroom is. Pay is really low, and pto is really pathetic.
