Pros

I have worked for Future Assist for 9 years. I started calling potential clients as most entry level jobs in financial planning require. Over the years i have been provided with many opportunities, challenges and responsibility that have helped me advance my career and grow as a professional and a person. Now, none of these opportunities came without first having to work hard but this is not a bad thing. I prefer to work for a company that rewards hard work by providing opportunity, than one that promotes with no proof that people have earnt their promotion. The world owes nothing to anyone. Over the years, the company has paid for my studies, DFP, ADFP FCHFP and others. The most important reason I have remained working for this company is that i have experienced, first hand (as an advisor, office manager and now executive manager) that the Future Assist Team and its Management not only care about their people but most importantly, care about our clients. I got into Financial Planning to help people, like my parents, to have a better retirement than the one they could have on their own. Future Assist, truly strive to do this for each and every client.

Cons

No major cons that aren't part and parcel of an ever changing industry like Financial Services. Flexibility in working from home, but this is currently being reviewed and have already started making changes to enable staff to work from home.

Changed My Life for the Better

Pros

Opportunity, Culture, Transparency. I started with Future Assist about 6 years ago in a professional role. I was progressed into a management role in a quick timeframe. I absolutely had to step to the position and 6 years later I consider my time with Future Assist as life changing. Whilst the approach will not work for everyone, the CEO has an eye for identifying talent and gives those who are competent and willing, opportunities that just not exist elsewhere. I have found that for some who simply want the status quo, that they ultimately fail in this business. There is some unsubstantiated garbage posted by those who are ultimately failures in forums such as this and all I would say is " don't get bitter, get better" (Bill Bermingham impersonating Kerry Packer on the 12th man). I genuinely believe that the culture is the strength of the business. I kow that the majority of staff get out of bed each morning to come to work and help to improve their clients lives.

Cons

Very busy, no micro-management (pro for some, con for others).
