Pros

New office is nice and team members are great to work with

Cons

every team is looking after themselves and won't collaborate. weak leadership means that a few people control everything. impossible to implement change as you need to get agreement from everyone, even people who aren't impacted by the changes! low trust environment

Pros

A new building, good location but that's about it!

Cons

Layers of Management lost in a world of collaboration. Over management and no empowerment Too many people doing the same roles and nobody able to make a decision The systems are terrible. They talk about updating their CRM system. But they have been talking about this for years. They have an agile department. In my team there, I never saw anything they delivered. They had lots of meetings to talk about what they will deliver. If you are not from Geelong, you will not be accepted There is very little diversity They recruit all these people to implement change, but it gets stifled in the collaboration. They claim to be member-focused. They are after they have looked after themselves.

Pros

Local. Flexible. Fruit. Footy tickets.

Cons

GMHBA talks the talk but fails to walk the walk. They want to be portrayed as a caring origination who support our communities and whilst they’re technically a NFP all they’re interested in is new business. How you are treated as an employee depends on if your boss likes you, if you have the right appendages, if you’re a yes man, if you keep quiet and don’t challenge the status quo, if you’re prepared to put your job before your family and health. The number of failed ventures and members money invested in unfinished projects is embarrassing. How you are treated as a member depends on if your sob story is sad enough and if it would look bad for them if the Geelong Advertiser printed an article on your experience.
