Pros

Great Network and products to sell. One of the industry's best Tier 1 networks. Direct management is wonderful to work with and sales support work very hard for your team. GTT HQ is Arlington, VA for Americas division.

Cons

C-Suite and upper management are only here to support and get the largest return possible to the investors that bought the company out of bankruptcy 2 years ago. All expenses, marketing and travel budgets have been cut. Expect to have the industries highest quota of $12,000 to $17,000 with average to low base salary. It is a constant boiler room to make sales to support extremely high quotas in the hunter roles.

Pros

Strong exposure to a wide range of network technologies and protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN, etc.). Hands-on experience with industry-leading network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Accedian). Opportunity to work in a 24/7 global support environment, enhancing problem-solving skills under pressure. Structured ticket ownership model that promotes accountability and timely resolution. Supportive management that encourages professional growth. Collaborative work culture with cross-functional teams and field technicians. Opportunities to lead and manage teams during managerial absences. Continuous learning environment with exposure to advanced network concepts. Hybrid work model providing flexibility in work location. Good platform for building a strong foundation in network engineering and operations.

Cons

Workload can be intense during peak periods and escalations, leading to occasional stress. Off-hours and night shifts are common due to the 24/7 support model, which may affect work-life balance. Communication between some teams and departments can sometimes be slow or unclear. Resource allocation during high-demand situations could be improved for smoother operations. Limited opportunities for rapid promotion within short time frames. Some processes and documentation may need updating for better clarity and efficiency.
