Pros
After finishing university I was not sure what I wanted to do as my next career step. I decided I wanted to travel before I started my career as it would be my one chance to do so before entering the pharma industry. I spent 6 months in china teaching English and when I came back I wanted to enter either clinical / sales side of pharma. I applied to work at GXPeople because I didn't feel I was ready a sales rep job as I did not have the confidence for a job like that. When having my interview, I was very nervous but it was easy going. no real complicated questions. They just wanted to know about my story and situation and know me as a person and if I would fit into the GXPeople environment. It helped that they understood why I was there and what I wanted to gain which was confidence and knew my goals of potentially being a sales rep in the future. When working at GXPeople it is not easy. You are often put out of your comfort zones many times with different tasks. The one thing about Nadia is you can tell she wants the best for you if you enter GXPeople. Mark the executive consultant also guided me and mentored me through my stay. Working for gxpeople you get a good indication of the types of pharmaceutical jobs out there. Even though I had been offered a chance to work at GXPeople full time after my internship I was never forced to make a rushed decision and i was given time to think about it. I decided I wanted a career as a physician associate. The main reason was i wanted to help people in the end and have that instant feeling of being there to help someone and seeing it first hand. The great thing is even after i decided to not take the offer to work at GXPeople full time, I was still cared about in the company till the day I left and could tell they wanted me to do what was right for me and made me happy. If you are someone who is competitive, enjoy running projects, working closely with corporate international clients, attending meetings and conferences all over the world then this is the company to join, as there are definitely exciting times ahead for GXPeople!
Cons
Can be stressful but it is recruitment
