Pros

Gearset is feedback-driven in every direction. We regularly ask for and act on feedback from customers, and internally managers give feedback to their team members and team members give feedback on their managers. I think this has a positive effect on how we do as a company and on the experience of employees. Developers may or may not interact directly with customers depending on what they're doing, but they usually get chances to fix something for a customer or work on a problem that a customer is experiencing. We all have access to the online conversations with users so seeing the feedback from the changes you've made is really gratifying. It makes you feel like what you're doing is meaningful.

Cons

I think it's not the most competitive salary out there

Pros

Gearset made feel that pandemic doesn't mean being isolated from your team and by myself at home. There's not one day, I don't have a good laugh with my team, and since day 1 I felt so much support from members of the whole company (not just from my team). They trust me to do my best job, and I keep wanting to give my best and beyond to Gearset. I'm treated with respect and I'm given ownership to support the business. It's like a big great team! Oh and the occasional little gifts they are just cherry on top of the cake 😊 Good environment, no micromanagement, opportunities to make an impact, work life balance, free food, random gifts, team gatherings, bupa, nice salary.

Cons

The only downside is that you might never find a better place to work for after Gearset :D

Pros

Every tech startup talks about culture, but a beer fridge and a ping pong table don't amount to much when it comes to the day-in/day-out grind. The commitment to transparency, feedback, and cooperation is truly impressive. I read all these positive reviews with a healthy amount of skepticism while I was interviewing, and was pretty shocked to discover that my expectations were exceeded. Beyond the aforementioned virtues there is a priority placed on work/life balance which might be taken for granted in the EU but was a pleasant surprise for a US employee.

Cons

Salary is middle of the road but benefits are pretty nice.

Pros

I've always been treated with respect and trust at Gearset. Work-life balance is emphasized and this is the best team that I have ever been on. It's a very collaborative, supportive environment. PTO is incredible.

Cons

Learning curve can be a challenge, but our onboarding/product training is by far the best I've ever experienced. Raw salary is middle of the road for the industry.

Pros

Welfare is very much looked after. From the top level management down, everyone realises that healthy and happy employees are going to be their most productive. Salaries are good - not top of the tree, but money isn't everything. Intelligent and friendly folk. Dealing with remote working due to covid-19 very well. The company is going places too - not stagnant and everyone is interested in making the future a good one rather than just coasting along.

Cons

I haven't found any yet
