This was just supposed to be something that held me over until I was able to get a real job after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston. I was head hunted by the only recruiter because I am a licensed life insurance agent. I agreed to employment under the terms that this was part -time at $11/hr plus 15% commission for any client the company gained from an appointment I set. They use "bait and switch" tactics to get people into their office and seminars. Most think that they are coming to get interviewed for a job when in reality they want you to switch your existing 401ks to an IRA or sign up for life insurance. The 1 client they were able to sign up from an appointment I set I never got paid for. I was never given an information on this client but was there when she signed up, filled out all her paperwork, and brought her check. Everyone else got a cut except for me.
