Most employees introverted, general office vibe is dull, expected to work 8 hours on both Saturdays and Sundays, no good work/life balance (your whole life becomes Giraffe for a year). Expected to be part of two huge dramatic productions - one at Halloween and one at Christmas - for the kids' enjoyment; you will be expected to come in on your days off to practice if necessary and will not be paid extra for this as this is told to be within your "contracted expectations". This will also be about 8-10 full 2/3 hour rehearsals. If you are reading this and you want to come to Shanghai, there are MUCH better companies to work for, so avoid! Get a job with your weekends off in order to fully enjoy Shanghai.
