Pros

Great artists & colleagues. The support around me got me through the toughest times in my life and made what I'm about to go into bareable

Cons

Management is malicious and will target you if you don't slave away like everyone else. I've witnessed so much favoritism & targeting toward some of my colleagues being here, and I've never felt more unsafe. For LGBTQ artists specifically, there's so much disconnect & mistreatment between what the company says and what they do. If you're not a man forget about any sort of career advancement here. The amount of misogony, homophobia, and transphobia here mentally drained my passion for art.

Pros

Outside of management, the team was lovely and all reached out to offer their assistance (even in an attempt to help train me as they noticed I was being given an unfair onboarding).

Cons

The culture at this workplace was the worst I have ever experienced. Unfortunately the teams are overworked; something I both observed and was verbally told by them, and management uses those who have over packed calendars as ‘examples’ for future scheduling. As someone with a lot of Production experience in large companies, I was hired and then bullied, from the get go. After much reflection and undoing the harm this workplace did to me, I now realise it was an experience rooted in both misogyny and a lack of ability (on their end) to handle their rapid company growth. During my onboarding I was scheduled tasks with two days to complete them; a list of task resulting in roughly a week of working hours, one of these tasks was to watch every piece of Glitch content. This resulted in me needing to create additional time after hours to get through basic on-boarding. Although one example of unrealistic expectations when assigning tasking, I found this was consistent with all team members and their scheduling from upper management. While unrealistic expectations was at the forefront of how upper management wanted their teams to run, another attribute that I found added to the negative work culture was the public shaming that often occurred. On one instance myself and a more junior associate were publicly told to “use their brains” via a management slack thread. Just one example of the humiliation rituals that seemed to occur often if an individual made a mistake.
