Pros

Some of the colleagues you work with. A good feeling of we're all in this together.

Cons

I'm at a loss with words with the sudden wave of positive comments that strangely just started to pop up across this site. Basically the pay is bad, the work conditions are even worse, you're driven like a slave. The working hours are long and filled with manual work non stop. Career opportunities internally are almost a joke, getting interviewed internally to then receive feedback completely non related with what was discussed at the interview, almost as if you were not even there. Advocating for a culture of caring globally when you are just a number at the end of the day.

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. We take all criticism on board and are always working to improve how we do business and our number one priority is always our staff. With reference to your comments about working hours and people being “driven like slaves”, we take great care to ensure that our staff have the proper supports they need and receive adequate training. Overtime, although it does sometimes happen around busy periods, is not standard and it is tracked accordingly. Many of our employees have been with us for a number of years and have progressed from junior roles to senior managerial positions. Internal promotions happen regularly, so although you might not have been successful with promotions in the past, we would encourage you to speak to your manager about your concerns or to contact HR. We have a number of training and learning opportunities and want to support growth in any way we can. Thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

The people I worked with were all in the same boat so at least youre not isolated. The pool table and the free lunches and free parking are pros.

Cons

I went to my doctor because I was getting broken down by the place. He told me that all the Doctors in Clon know all about the place and that loads of employees come to him with serious stress. I had to leave in the end as it was just too much for me and after a number of months away i am finally finding that I am back to myself. The main problem is that the company doesn't value its employees. We all feel that we are there just to take abuse from customers and have to take the blame for all of the systems issues when its not us at all. The thing that really got to me and to others is that HR spends a lot of time talking about how its a great company to work for and were pushing us to make sure we have a positive message about how its an amazing company all the time when it really isnt. When people stay for twelve months and then run away maybe that's what they should have focused on.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate and value your input whether as an employee or a former employee. We are committed to creating a comfortable, transparent, and collaborative environment for all our employees and so we are disappointed to hear about some of your experiences. We continuously look for ways to enhance employee benefits and experience. Along with various wellness initiatives, we have recently rolled out increased benefits for all employees in tandem with doubling our IT department in the last 12 months as part of our ongoing journey. Thanks again for your feedback, it is very much appreciated.

Pros

NO PROS AT THIS COMPANY AT ALL

Cons

I have never in my life had to seek help from a doctor to get through each day due to my employers inability to look after the wellbeing of their staff. This place caused me to have a nervous breakdown and after returning to work no one cares. No one listens. After being out of Global Shares, I am now angry. I'm angry that they get away with this time and time again! How many people are off sick? How many people are on anti anxiety and/or anti depressants all because of Global Shares. Its about time this company were investigated for their actions! Not all these bad reviews are from scorned ex employees. Take heid!
