Pros

Great Team (outside of upper management)

Cons

Upper Management is extremely dishonest and will throw even long time employees under a bus to cover themselves. They constantly blame any issues on either current and past employees or their outside "consultants." They also seem to have literally zero respect for female team members to the point that recently 2 of their best female employees walked away. Promises that they will work towards competitive wages never come true. There is very little follow through. Lastly the positive feedback on this page was obtained through upper management requests to current employees to pad the positive and offset the negative. My only regret? I have spent so much time here that I would have to take a major pay cut were I to leave. With what is happening today I can not afford this.

Thank you for the comments left regarding your experience while working at GlobalMac IT. It is excellent news to hear that you enjoy working with your team members. We always appreciate and value open and honest feedback from both current and past employees. Because "Grow" is one of the Core Values at GlobalMac IT, placing our employees in the right job for both the employee and the company is high on our priority list. We understand GlobalMac IT is not a fit for everyone – we have stringent requirements and not everyone makes it as an “A” player on our team. The leadership team is committed to creating a positive, professional and rewarding environment for all our employees where they are valued and treated fairly, so we are disappointed to hear that has not been your experience. To address the claim of “literally zero respect for female team members,” – we do not take this lightly. In fact, we have previously let an employee go, specifically for his treatment of female employees. To correct some details, the two team members you mentioned did not “walk away” but were let go due to financial hardship presented by the pandemic. We had to make some decisions about reducing our workforce, and our leadership team had to review performance and other factors during this time. The past two years have been hard for many businesses economically with having to conduct layoffs, and we understand these situations are never easy for employees, too. We encourage you to contact HR to discuss at anytime. Thank you for taking the time to provide this review, and we hope that we can improve your current experience by working together.

Pros

Completely WFH even after the pandemic ended

Cons

Never in my life have I experienced so much stress, heartache, and disappointment with a place I have worked. From the very start I was set up for disappointment by the company when I interviewed for one position and ended up being given another one. That's okay because one of the Core Values is embrace change. I embraced that change and did my best at this new position. After 6 months of working that position and getting comfortable with its duties, that side of the business essentially went belly up and I was moved to another side. No worries. Another Core Value is grow. I grew in that new position and basically handled the department with one other team mate, tackling hundreds of tickets in a week and holding the bread and butter of the company up on my shoulders. Good thing, because another Core Value is be the hero. I felt like a hero when I was knocking out tickets left and right. The last Core Value that GMIT loves to instill into its employees is work smart. Thankfully the company hired on a consultant and his ace team to help bring in record profits that would eventually lead to quarterly bonuses, company outings, and a litany of other (unfulfilled) promises. It's a shame that consultant actually wanted to scam the company out of its money and he and his team were very quickly shown the door. This isn't the company you want to work for. Take a look at the truthful negative reviews from just the past year and you'll see that they don't truly care about their employees and don't even really hold true to the Core Values they shove down their throats. If you're considering employment with GlobalMac IT, the best thing you can do is Grow out of that mindset, Embrace the Change of finding something new, Work Smart by turning down any offers, and Be The Hero by running away as fast as you can.

Pros

Median wages Remote work/Work from home

Cons

Deceitful: a common theme in the negative reviews here - ranging from misdirection to outright lying A CEO focused on rebranding already established services to pad profits The definition of a 'Boys' club' workplace re. favoritism, hiring practices Toxic work/life balance expectations Ludicrously horrendous benefits - claims "100% employer paid health insurance" while essentially offering a concierge service a la GoodRX Out of touch upper management Scapegoating Disingenuous internal communication Worst of all: they'll make you listen to Jacko Willink unironically.

We appreciate your comments and take them into consideration to improve our company and culture. We are sorry your outlook has been poor when working at GlobalMac IT. We would like to address a few of your comments made to help clear up some misunderstandings: We have a lengthy interview process where multiple team members interview candidates and weigh in on the decision. We follow the proven Topgrading methodology. The process is based on the needs of the organization, the position(s) required for our growth plans and to seek alignment with our Core Values: grow, be the hero, work smart and embrace change. We do not play ‘favorites’ in our hiring process at all, we follow our process (as outlined on our website) to do our best to obtain right fit team members. We strive to continually improve and provide benefits far above the norm. The “a la GoodRX” comment is only a portion of the truth. We do not partner directly with GoodRX to offer a health plan because they do not offer one. Our health plan is with Redirect Health, they are different from your standard major medical insurance providers, but we believe it is a change for the better as do many of our team members. Medical needs are individual, and we understand all medical plans have pros/cons based upon those individual needs. On certain occasions, Redirect Health recommends GoodRX for pharmacy when they offer the best pricing on certain prescriptions, but that is the extent of their involvement with our insurance plan. Regarding the rebranding to pad profits: We have built a completely new solution that will democratize the access to modern-day cybersecurity solutions that up until now were only accessible to larger businesses. This was a need defined over serving solo and small firms over the past 16 years and this solution was built to serve them. Yes, in the process we will make profits, but those are a result of adding value in the marketplace. It is not a rebranding, but a completely new solution. GlobalMac IT provides a comprehensive managed services for law firms using Macs nationwide and BobaGuard assist solo and small law firms with a turnkey cybersecurity solution. We understand GlobalMac IT is not a fit for everyone – we have stringent requirements and not everyone makes it as an “A” player on our team. We do everything we can to coach up our team members and pass on the lessons from Jocko about taking ownership of your role and responsibilities in the organization. We partake in many skill development initiatives, as a reflection of our core value: Grow. This includes content from a wide array of respected leaders like Jocko Willink, including, but not limited to Strategic Coach, EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and many more. We encourage you to contact HR to discuss further feedback.
