Cons

$18 per hour isnt enough to pay your bill.......This has to be the most fraudulent start up in New York, management is a joke they , will lie on you, gaslight you and wont care about any concerns you may have regarding work conditions. The estheticians are treated poorly. you only work 22 hours a week if you are full time. They will gas light you and tell you to pick up doubles on your off days. They are continuously hiring new people because they treat workers so poorly and everyone is looking for a way out. Also a manager assaulted a studio guide and they have two law suit for discrimination. This company is run by racist white women save yourself the stress don't work here.

Pros

I absolutely adored my coworkers and studio managers. They were the only saving grace and the sole reason why I stayed with the company far longer than I should have.

Cons

The CEO continues to open more locations while neglecting current studios that are in desperate need of maintenance and restoration. It was often embarrassing to navigate and try to explain visible issues, broken equipment and lack of supplies within the studio to clients. There was an alleged cleaning crew that was scheduled to come in twice a month, however there was never any evidence of the studio actually being deep cleaned. It always looked nasty. Again, this was embarrassing in front of clients as well as a potential health hazard given the nature of the place. The pay is SO ABYSMALLY LOW for what is expected of you as an employee it is almost laughable. There was talk and promises from headquarters for an entire year about better compensation and benefits. When it came time for said promises, we were given hourly raises that ranged from .30 cents to .50 cents. Underpaying your employees in one of the most notoriously expensive cities, while receiving a 10 million dollar business grant AND paying to have your wedding advertised in the NYT (CEO did this), should be CRIMINAL. The epitome of the final boss of the girlboss, gaslight, gate keep bosses. This only skims the surface of what a truly god awful company this is to work for.

Pros

Most people in stores really care about each other and what they do each day. Company has a positive outside reputation and looks good on your resume. Training is great and you learn a lot about the industry.

Cons

Culture of manipulation and favoritism, no matter how "great" you are you will be the subject of gossip at the corporate level guaranteed. H.R. creates fake awards to look like they support employees but does no meaningful work. Owner only cares about building her social media following and stalking employee's online behavior/personal lives. All of the good people who genuinely cared have left or are leaving soon.
