Most of the job roles are monotonous and very physically strenuous. You can easily walk 10+ miles per day. Orders can weigh 25kg and with little time to catch a breath you go home feeling sore, exhausted and burned out.
There was a lot of internal politics that created friction and stress, especially when it came to new ideas. Personality clashes between team members meant at times there was a hostile atmosphere.
KPI’s are powerful tools, if they are used as indicators to measure the delivery of goals. It was frustrating to see KPI’s becoming the goal and turning into a toxic material, being used as a punishment tool against colleagues.
I didn’t think there was a clear route for progression or career development, unless you were close with leadership, or they knew you personally.
