Pros

- The discount - The customers

Cons

- Management in 2019-2020 was toxic. She moved onto regional management somehow. She maintained gossiping and general toxic culture that customers constantly complained about and that ended up bullying me as an employee. She would message the other assistant to keep up with my personal life, complain that I would talk to customers prior to my shift starting (?), give me a large delegation that I couldn't keep up with because I was a full-time uni student (such as managing a whole card game event), would never put away singles and then complain that after I had not even worked a shift, that I had not completed it... and ask customers private questions about my life such as my romantic or sexual relationships - she would also ask this of me. She was the worst manager I have ever had and the effects of her managing still affect me to this day.

Pros

Working with your hobby. Good people in the casual workforce. Opportunities to learn more about the hobby.

Cons

No ability to move up in the company. TERRIBLE CORPORATE CULTURE. Low morale and high levels of burnout. Boysclub culture. Lots of blame assignment when things go wrong to avoid upper and middle management getting into to trouble. Demoralising team culture at larger stores. Awful communication and unfriendly management made working here hell. They project an inclusive environment but will not punish discriminatory behaviour if management like the perpetrator, Prone to victim blaming.
