Pros

My coworkers and managers are fantastic as people. Absolutely lovely people, even when they don't always get the support they need from corporate. If you do your work well, you won't get too much flack and you are still seen as a human being, unlike in other gigs. Very forgiving if you make a mistake and try fixing it. They value integrity, kindness, and honesty too.

Cons

The pay isn't competitive, and others tend to take credit for your work. Hours can get cut without much notice, and certain people get bounced around different shifts. Unfair division of who works every weekend and who doesn't. No weekend rotations for certain associates, even with more than one alternate. Corporate could also stand to give more support to the managers and associates who keep the hotels running.

Pros

Pay was fair. I liked the people I worked with and learned a lot during my time there.

Cons

Benefits were terrible. Very little opportunity to move up. I didn't like the owner. He was very condescending and difficult to be around. This was my main reason for leaving. If not for my dislike of his attitude, I would have stayed longer.

Travel discounts. Hotel work can be fun

Cons

Drama drama drama. Hotel level is full of toxic, inept, ladder climbers. Corporate is too busy to monitor them.
