Pros

- Good name on CV, interesting cases - great paralegals who are supportive

Cons

- Training during probation period is poor and unstructured - you should hope to work for a fee earner who is patient and willing to let you learn without judgment - domestic abuse team has a culture of cliqueiness and judgment, the partner talks rudely about people very openly - if you do not fit the mould you will not last - paralegals are spoken to and treated like children, some fee earners are very quick to get hostile with you

Pros

Good Salary. Other paralegals are really nice. Office is nice. Good exposure for what Family Law entails.

Cons

Awful training for Graduates. Some of the solicitors in the domestic violence team are not patient with you when you are a new starter. Not the most pleasant to work with either. Closed office space - can't socialize with anyone else from other departments. No support with the workload.
