Lack of leadership and clearly articulated business strategy or supporting resources. Management can be counted on to choose the bottom line over customers and employees at all times. A prime example of why executive compensation should not include shares - decisions are made for short term return as opposed to business longevity. Staff are seen and treated as dispensible expenses.
