Gther presents as an independent startup offshoot of its parent company 2Heads, yet in actuality is kept on a very tight leash by a board populated entirely by 2Heads personnel when it comes to funding and company direction.
The board holds no respect for fair compensation of its employees, evidenced by: 1) stonewalling of any questions related to promotion or simply annual rises; 2) secrets withheld regarding bonuses given to some but not others, or mentioning equity to some but not others; 3) outright reneging on promises (e.g. promising equity but not delivering).
Beware of unexpected whiplash in the direction of this "startup", because the board has no idea how to nurture a small modern tech company. This is evident from the number of half-broken, barely maintainable software products laying around, the result of ad-hoc shortsighted funding decisions in hiring contractors over nurturing in-house talent. Employee churn at all levels is high (I can count 10 either through leaving or being let go over the past 15 months) given a core working team of 10-15.
In essence, behave like a contractor if working at Gther. Do your work today to get paid - but don't expect anything else, except for the board to pull the rug out from under you in the name of saving money no matter how much good work you've done.
