Pros

Team members supportive Some kind, collaborative and human people Some people working extremely hard to make a positive difference Fred is brilliant (the chef who came up with the products)

Cons

The executive team are not a team - they work in silos. They do not demonstrate modern, credible leadership behaviours and are bullies. They do not seek to encourage, support, nurture. They criticise, set expectations for others they don’t meet themselves and attack to defend themselves from being under the spotlight. There is little strategic leadership of substance. Toxic working environment and boys club.

Pros

Finish work on 1pm during summer Work from home 2 days a week 1 case a month of free gü. Perkbox

Cons

Terrible management Unless you're focused on the retail side of things, don't bother working here. They say they're fast paced and a small company, but that's no where near true. They're slow to make changes and act arrogant as a brand and company. The office smells a lot. No proper A/C or ventilation. No health benefits. Boring sales and marketing meetings. High staff turnover. No career progression unless you are working in retai.

Sadly, the brand does not reflect the company

Pros

Some great people, strong brand, desire to create products. Summer Friday 1pm finishes are the single good benefit they offer. If you're good, money will be thrown at you to stay.

Cons

It's really quite tragic how bad the company culture is behind such a great brand and product. The micromanagement starts from the very top, and comes the whole way down, breeding a culture of back-side saving, a lack of accountability and distrust. Avoid working here if you can for the sake of your mental health. If you're approached about a role here, make sure you ask about staff turnover rate, it's phenomenal, with good people lost time and time again. Of course you can stay and try and brave it out, but if you have regular exposure to the exec team you forever feel in fear of losing your job. It's very much a mentality of you either fit in and play our toxic game, or you're out. Sadly more true for a female than a male who'll find it harder to be part of the "boys club". The exec team are archaic in mentality and need a complete overhaul, before all company value is lost. Of course private equity-owned businesses will always be pushed to deliver results, quickly, but there's no empowerment given to the teams to deliver on their plans. Strategy is forever being rewritten, the same ideas churned out again, with teams being asked to jump and deliver regardless on crushed timelines. Don't be fooled by reviews that are provided by people attached to the HR team, and are therefore incentivised to improve ratings on here. If you're good, money will be thrown at you to stay. Or a flashy title that you might not get in another company, but you really need to think about your own self worth and sanity before accepting. Such a shame for a great brand with great products, created by a great team.
