Pros

- Your direct team will always have your back - Good camaraderie

Cons

- Senior management are completely out of touch with front line policing and bow to media, local counsellors and politicians. - Well being of front line staff is a tick box exercise that does not translate to the actual welfare of staff - Basis human rights of police officers is waivers continuously for 'contingencies of duty' - this includes basis rights such as being able to use the toilet, eat, or even get a cup of water, being forced to work alone in very unsafe situations and being forced to work longer and longer hours (16 + hrs in one day) - putting the officer at risk of making possibly disastrous mistakes. - Promotion is encouraged, however, be prepared to betray your colleagues in the process when using them to ''provide evidence''.
