Pros

They are transparent with salary during the recruitment process which I believe is nice.

Cons

Gymbeam is proud of giving their employees the "freedom" of working remotely but in fact you feel more in controlled there than if your boss was breathing down your back. The founders (CEO and CMO) are a couple who believe that every employee should "work an extra mile" and hustle for their profit. At the same time, they control every little action in the company and they expect their managers to do the same. The company requires you to download spyware to control your every move - it does screenshots of your computer and shows your manager if you spend 5 minutes away from your computer. You have every day (!) meetings where you have to confess all the things you did the day before. You need to track all your tasks. As a specialist, you have no ownership or freedom to do anything your way. I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder after all of this, because you can function like a normal person with such a intense way of control. Moreover, they expect you to work when you're sick - people would still work being in the hospital (!). Overhours are normal - some people are working at nights. I highly not recommend this place.

Thank you for your feedback. We greatly value the opinions of our employees, both current and former, as they help us to continually improve our working environment. We would like to clarify some of the points made in your review: Remote Work and Time Tracking: Yes, we use Time Doctor to track our employees' time, which is a common practice in many companies that support remote work. This tool helps us guarantee a fair distribution of work and ensure that all employees have sufficient support and resources to complete their tasks. We do not use it to unduly control employees. Daily meetings and task tracking: Daily meetings are designed to help us quickly identify and address potential issues, foster team communication, and ensure that everyone is working toward common goals. Task tracking helps us keep track and manage projects effectively. Working conditions: we never ask our employees to work when they are sick and strongly encourage them to take time off to recuperate. If someone works outside of standard business hours, it is always their choice and never a requirement. Expectations and control: Our goal is to support our employees in performing at their best, not to over-control them. We continually strive to improve work/life balance and create a supportive work environment. We are sorry to hear that your experience was negative, and we take your comments seriously. We are always looking to improve based on constructive criticism. If you would like to discuss this topic further, please feel free to contact us directly. Thank you again for your feedback and we wish you well in the future.

Pros

If you work hard, you can grind an extra money. Lunch costs only 1 EUR. Some people work there was great

Cons

Some people work there are superficial and creates a toxic work environment. GymBeam is spying your work via software called TimeDoctor. This is mandatory software you must use during the work because it counts the time while you working. It watches your keyboard, open apps and mouse to detect if your'e working. Every few minutes it takes the screenshots !!. Managers can see all the details. Guys from IT told me they are "punished" when spend more time on the meetings. I heard many stories from older employees about yelling to the people when mostly girls ended meetings crying :( People working there disappearing from Slack from one to another day without any good-bye message or reason. Some managers as I saw are real micromanagers like from the book. They know everything better than you and if don't agree with you, start attacking you. I think all the things makes an toxic working environment and great social marketing trying to hide it.

Thank you for your feedback. We constantly try to create a supportive work environment and manage stress effectively. Our managers are encouraged to be supportive rather than strict, while still leading assertively and effectively. The tracking tool, Time Doctor, is not intended to spy on employees but to provide valuable information about the time spent on tasks. This helps to ensure that work is distributed appropriately and that employees can focus on important tasks and dedicate time to it. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We wish you the best of luck in your future career.

Pros

- Fast growing - Employee discounts - Nuts for snacks in the office for free!

Cons

- Extreme control from the regional manager for CZ/SK market, who seems not very competent - Extreme number of events per week - A lot of overtime - Monitoring software that stops your work hours when you go for toilet break - Very low salary: 1200 EUR - No growth unless you are connected to the family of the CEO

Thank you for your feedback, both positive and negative. We take your comments seriously and are actively reviewing them. The allegation of favoritism towards certain employees over others is a serious matter, and we do not believe it occurs at GymBeam. We strive to provide growth opportunities and reward exceptional performance in terms of salary and career advancement for all our employees. We will thoroughly investigate this issue and take appropriate action within our team. Your insights are valuable in helping us improve. HR manager Michaela
