Decent salary, but web development is inefficient and micromanaged
Pros
Company is ok but the web development department and communication between departments is awful
Cons
During my time at HFM, legacy systems and heavy technical debt made development and maintenance more complex and time-consuming than expected. Code reviews weren’t really a thing — tasks could sit waiting for review for a long time, slowing everything down. When issues came up, ownership was often unclear, leading to cross-team blame-shifting instead of structured resolution, which created tension and slowed incident handling. Leadership and coordination felt inconsistent, and organizational alignment wasn’t always strong enough for smooth execution under pressure. Overall, the company treated me well and offered a decent salary, but the web development department was extremely inefficient and micromanaging — down to having to report “good morning,” breaks, “back,” and “bye” in chat every day.
