Great mission, not so great pay.

Pros

Hope International is an amazing place to work. You will find yourself growing spiritually, a strong team environment, and powered by a mission to serve others. The work they do is top notch. There are amazing benefits to working at Hope beyond the pay. Great culture!

Cons

Lowest pay of any nonprofit I've ever worked for. Discrepancy of pay between upper management and board members (as seen in the 990 a board member was paid 2/3 of Hope's entry level salaries) compared entry and mid level was upsetting. It was stressful supporting my family on this salary. My wife had to work just to make it possible and even then it was challenging.

Cons

Low pay, even for a nonprofit DEI does not appear to be a true org priority - not a big DEI emphasis at all at the all staff meeting level, heavily white male exec team and board. These dont appear to be changing any time soon. Disappointing bc there is so much overlap with DEI and HOPE’s Christian mission
