Pros

Working with the staff in store and some of the products

Cons

The amount of stock in store could be overwhelming for not only customers but staff too. Upper management is a joke, you deal with the CEO's personal assistant most of the time, there was rarely any positive feedback from them and the workplace in general could be demoralising and awful, head office was slow to do anything and there was not a lot of freedom for managers with anything but also a general lack of support at the same time. upper management seemed to forget that the people in store working with customers are the reason the company still exists and they need to start acting like their staff are actually an asset rather than a liability. If I could give this company 0 stars i would.

Pros

The staff members you work with are lovely, all the members, including managers of the Victorian stores are the most beautiful, fabulous, incredible people I have ever met.

Cons

Head office. Run by a family that you have to deal directly with. By this is the most controlling, awful, harassing, demoralising, cheap, pessimistic, morale killing place I’ve worked, and I view myself as quite resilient and strong but it gets too much. I was blessed with the most resilient, optimistic, best customer service providing staff members I have ever met that put all other in retail to shame, and nothing was ever enough-we all went above and beyond, put in beyond our time and money. They watch our security cameras 24/7, and I’m not joking. We were called by the Sydney head office constantly harrassing us for any reason possible. I can’t deny this constant feeling of ‘is this even legal what they’re doing to us?’ I feel awful that the most lovely people were all forced to work for hours alone, not even allowed to go to the bathroom, told off constantly for the company’s net profit being poor being OUR fault. No one deserves so much pressure for wages considering casual staff are below rates, and full time staff work on days off and are even given the most strict conditions for taking time off they’ve earnt. You have no say, no matter how strong of a personality you are or how hard you advocate for your staff or yourself, you are resorted to quitting. Did I mention constant emails threatening ‘disciplinary action’? It saddens me to leave because I love our customers and we have amazing rapport and they come in to just visit us, and we go above and beyond for them because we genuinely care, yet head office reinforces the only reason for bad sales is our customer service being poor.
