Probably going to go over the character count limit here…
1) was hired with promises that turned out to be COMPLETE lies…just one of those COMPLETE lies was being told that they “had warm leads coming in everyday” that the sales team would be able to utilize. That was COMPLETELY FALSE. No such thing. They had no leads because they didn’t even have a system to generate them like they claimed. Just a big fat lie because they were desperate to hire a sales team.
2) thank God I had sales experience under my belt because if I didnt I certainly wasn’t going to be able to count on the person running the place to provide me with any sort of training before hitting the doors…but it gets better…a few weeks after I started and they hired some more people who were green peas who had no idea what to do, they announce help is on the way…that someone who has been selling in this industry for a while was coming to join our team…and that this new person would be a great person to learn from. So great that they were strongly recommending that we DID learn from this new teammate …FOR THE SMALL PRICE OF A LARGE CHUNK OF OUR COMMISSION %! Lololol like are you kidding me? I felt like I was getting rolled at my own job. Here he was basically selling us on the idea of PAYING someone who mind you we have never even met before or seen out on the doors in action and is supposed to be on the same team as us to teach us their wisdom and supposed skills…umm no.
3) The customer waiting area was a complete embarrassment so much that we avoided letting our customers see it ever. They literally had put ZERO dollars into making it look acceptable. It was filthy and had like 8 of those chairs that are used in hospitals rooms. You know the ones.
4) the office biffed it on major things on literally every car I brought in there. Losing estimates (not sure how you manage that despite having it go through email but they managed), dropping the ball with approvals..you name it.
5) last but not least working for a clear misogynist. I’ve never in my life been so mistreated at a job…it was just plain ridiculous
