Pros
Pension scheme Leaving at end of the day always felt good There are a couple of decent managers but most are terrible Academies seem OK to work in, just head office that is dreadful
Cons
- Out of touch leadership - Bureaucracy - Very hierarchical - Favouritism and bullying from managers - No development opportunities - No flexibility - No trust - Set days in office for no reason - Mandated office but no collaboration either in or between teams - So many cultural problems that are brushed under the carpet eventhough everyone knows about them - HR are incompetent and let managers abuse staff - Overworked - Unrealistic expectations and objectives - No recognition or appreciation for going above and beyond - No diversity initiatives and a lot of discrimination issues - Disgusting germ infested office that everyone gets sick in regularly - Weird old fashioned rules like forcing men to wear ties and not allowed to wear headphones - Lack of decent benefits and any good ones get scrapped - No concern for staff wellbeing - Only get 25 days holiday and most of those days has to be taken during school holidays which they don’t tell you until you start - Very questionable budget choices just look at CEO and director salaries and they don’t even have to work during school holidays Overall staff are treated badly. All of this hidden at interview. Most people want to leave. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. No one should be desperate enough to have to work here!
