Pros

the team on the ground

Cons

Where to start with Haulfryn… while the previous CEO was at the helm the business although not perfect, it was Team centric, it is now Run by a narcissist with no idea how to bring the best out of the team, His HR department have instilled a blame and investigation culture that’s seeing good, honest, reliable, hard-working team leave in droves. If your face doesn’t fit, then you are marginalised from the highest levels within Haulfryn. There seems to be a sense of entitlement at Director level and above with fantasies of greatness, sadly their lack of empathy for others doesn’t match this. Please think before you join Haulfryn, there are many great companies out there looking for outstanding individuals Haulfryn is not one of them

The Warren

Pros

Permanent position (if you last longer than a few months that is).

Cons

The Warren brands itself a ‘5 star exclusive park’. It’s not. What it really is its a terrible place to work and has an awful reputation locally for treating employees badly. Poor work/life balance. Weekend and bank holiday working. No time off in school holidays. Senior management should ask themselves why so many good employees leave this company and would never return. Maybe it is due to Bullying, narcissistic and inappropriate behaviour on a frequent basis at senior park management level? It is appalling this sort of behaviour goes on in this day and age. If you challenge it you become a target or you are forced out or ridiculed for challenging it. Double standards? Senior management should consider following the company ‘core values’ themselves (everyone else does or else) instead of bullying managers & team members, being sexist, homophobic, discriminative of disabilities and discriminative of the local welsh community.

Morale at an all time low

Pros

Nice people (below senior management)

Cons

As the review title states, when I left, morale was at an all-time low around the office. This seems to have been exacerbated hugely in the time since leaving. Directors who cannot make eye contact, are unpersonable at best and outright rude at worst. HR simply do not care. This wasn’t the case under previous management. An endless stream of broken promises, hybrid working removed with next to no notice. A massive shame as it used to be a brilliant place to work.

Haulfryn Group Response

We very much appreciate your feedback and we are happy to read that you find the team members nice. Your comment regarding low morale since you left seems to be a perception as feedback from other team members has been that morae has significantly improved. We are disappointed to read though that you don’t have a great experience with the directors and that you feel that HR do not care. On hybrid working, post Covid, we adapted hybrid working and gave team members as much flexibility as we can. However, the company felt the need to request everyone to come back full time in response to the feedback from the team members saying they are losing opportunities to build relationship especially with new team members. Enough notice was given to ensure everyone can prepare. However, after a couple of months and review of the return to the office 5 days a week, based again from the feedback from team members, we have gone back to hybrid working. We listen to our team members and try our best to ensure that they are comfortable and happy with their working arrangement while they help us meet our company goals. It was such a shame that you did not feel that way.
