Pros

The only positive aspect of my time at this company was the privilege of working with incredibly talented and compassionate coworkers. Their support and dedication were instrumental in helping me navigate the challenges I faced during my final months of employment with Haverhill.

Cons

Where do I begin... 1) The CEO's authoritarian leadership style creates a hostile environment, resulting in high employee turnover. - Verbal abuse and threats of demotion or termination are recurring patterns. - Shockingly, the CEO has referred to managers admirably as "slave masters," which is deeply disturbing and contradicts the company's claimed values of inclusivity and progressiveness. 2) The CEO's disrespect towards me became apparent when I attempted to discuss defining my role, improving workflows, and addressing burnout. Instead of a constructive response, I was subjected to gaslighting and demeaning remarks such as being "insulting, absurd, and ridiculous." I was also told that my contributions lacked value, despite prior indications of favoritism toward me. This conversation became my breaking point, leading to my immediate resignation upon the advice of my friends and family. 3) While I initially enjoyed working with the Designer (also the CEO's wife), it was disheartening to witness her enable the toxic behavior displayed by her spouse. Her true colors were revealed during the aforementioned discussion, leaving me deeply disappointed in her.

Pros

- learning opportunities for associate and junior employees - majority women workspace

Cons

No time off permitted during November-December, April-May of each calendar year. It’s pretty common to be asked to work weekends during Christmas and thanksgiving. There are no remote opportunities within the U.S. I was expected to work after hours and weekends with no overtime pay. I was expected to respond to CEO text messages and phone calls on personal cell after hours/out of the office. I was expected to work in multiple, international time zones with no overtime pay. Unfortunately, there has been multiple unaddressed incidences of verbal abuse and harassment in the office by the male CEO towards women employees using language that is threatening, unprofessional and degrading.
