Pros

Easy entry level job for students enrolled in college. They start you off with easy work orders until you show that your mechanically inclined to read blueprints and schematics.

Cons

the work is boring you do the same thing over and over and over again each day. The supervisors suck completely , they play favoritism with employees and you get no recognization or compensation for your hard work. Also supervisors slack off during work hours until the big boss man is coming in. do not work at Havis

Pros

- If you're well liked by your superiors in management, you'll be given preferential treatment - Again, based on management's opinion, you may have the opportunity for advancement. - The company is an industry leader - The pay is pretty good, based on your experience - Not sure about now since everything was restructured, but depending on your department, you may have a good manager who will appreciate your efforts, and move you higher in the ranks - The products that the company puts out are cutting edge and no competitors can match the quality

Cons

Oh, where to start. There isn't one department within the company that isn't affected by traditional office politics. As the company strives to become more corporate, it has put people in certain power positions that are cutting out any ideas from regular employees. While important for every department to work together to help the company grow, the company has strapped down and focused on trying to achieve "numbers", while forgetting that they need the proper teams in place to do so. Because the company is based out of Pennsylvania, many employees within that office are "legacy" employees, but they have a very backwards way of doing business, and that, among other things, will ultimately lead to the downfall of this company. The "good ol boy" system just doesn't work anymore. This isn't the 1980s. And any company that COMPLETELY restructures its sales management system, from sales managers to co-owners of the company, within 6 months, just isn't right.

Pros

Nice people, that's really about it.

Cons

Place is stuck in the mud, no real progression. You give ideas but if it doesn't come from people in offices they really don't care. I wasted 6 months there and after I presented many ideas on how to fix things it was basically shrugged off. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Place is also very much like a clique. If they don't like you, you'll be talked about behind your back.
